Castle Credit

Living in coastal Maine, our well water is very salty and requires filtration to be safe and potable. When our RO system failed, we found ourselves between a rock and a head place with no drinkable or usable water. We had the local branch of The Pure Experts come out and examine the situation. After an initial visit and the water test, we decided that wed need a new softener, and two more inline filtration units to remove the immense levels of iron and (bad) salt in our well water. Total cost of the system was $7,800 and we were forced to finance through The Pure Experts financial partner Castel Credit as we didnt have a spare 8k laying around (who does these days) The system was installed and has been working just fine for over 2 years now, however the greedy lending practices of Castel Credit have been very financially difficult to deal with. Even with meeting the minimum monthly payments of $99 without fail, the interest rate of 19.990% added $140 to our balance every month, which put us in the hole quickly. Of course, wed pay more when we could, however like the rest of the middleclass in this country, money is tight and cash flow is a struggle. We recently closed on a HELOC to assist on paying the debt from Castle Credit off. After a little over two years, we were now almost $12,300 in debt on our $7,800 filtration system. Good times The most disappointing and shady aspect of all this is when we were closing on our HELOC, the title company discovered that CASTEL CREDIT HAD PUT A LEAN ON OUR HOME for this debt Unreal and very shady I cant say anything other than Castel Credit is just another predatory lender taking advantage of people in a tough spot when it comes to a costly home repair. Outrageous interest rates, very poor customer service, terrible communication, and shady business practices. Avoid them at all costs. Its just not worth it Weve wasted several thousand dollars dealing with them. In hindsight, we should have got a personal loan with our local CU to finance the filtration equipment and just dealt with having no water for several days

This company is a lie, my account was paid in full, and they still turned around and charged me more money. I called them and was told I would be getting my refund and never got it, so-called back again 2 times, and now they are saying they don't owe me any money. These people are thieves and I cannot wait for the karma to bite them in the butt.

I was told I would get a call back but no such luck . I still need to update the account. ???. So I can make the payments.

I mistake payment in other castle credit bank in the credit account plz request my money refund in my own account plzz request..my letter

They will tell you they cannot accept payments for a month or two, then charge interest for those months they won't take payments for. When they close the account and reopen it without telling you, they will charge interest on that also. All to get some extra cashflow into their pockets. Will never be doing business with them, however small my business was (12k)

This company comes out the blue and is already harrassing me before the 1st payment is due! I have no problem making the payment. But they can't provide a copy of my signed-agreed upon contract. SOunds fishy!!!
